但big picture可不是“大画”！
那是什么意思？

big picture
big picture字面意思：大画，
但在口语中，它还有另一层意思。
表示：大局、大局观；
（事物的)主要部分，重点。
【例句】
Taxes are a big picture issue.
税收是个关乎全局的问题。
Your Life Objective is the big picture.
人生的宗旨至关重要。
（Chandler 说明自己回来一事的始末，Ross 的重点却落在了他抽烟一事上）

get the picture
get是“得到”，picture是“画、照片”，
但get the picture可不是“得到照片”，
而是表示：弄明白情况，了解情形。
【例句】
You should get the picture.
您应该了解大概情况了。
另外，put/keep sb in the picture
则是： 介绍情况；使了解情况。
【例句】
Just to put you in the picture─there have been a number of changes here recently.
只是让你了解一下情况，最近这里出现了许多变化。

be/look a picture
look a picture字面意思：看一幅画，
不过它还可以表示：好看、悦目；
有点像我们中文的“美如画”的意思。
（look也可以是系动词be）
